In a quaint, sunlit village, an old man plants a fig tree in his garden with deliberate care. A young man, holding a piece of cardboard with scribbled questions, approaches and reads aloud, “Why plant an old fig tree? You’ll never get to eat its fruit. ” The old man, pausing to wipe the sweat from his brow, takes a moment to glance at the young man and the cardboard sign. With a chuckle, he replies, “Maybe you should consider making a cardboard cutout of your own business instead. ”
